RHONDA ROUSEY YOU GOTTA LOVE HER!

Everybody gives the champ a lot of guff. She is one of the best in the sport and yet everyone hates Rhonda! Well not me. I think the champs career has proven herself to be the best.

So what makes the Rhonda so special?

Let me just take you back to her judo career for a sec. She has participated in the Olympics 2004 & 2008 winning Gold & Bronze and won a number of gold medals in tournaments around the world and nationally. And it also helps when your mom is a judo champ herself. The champ has had one of the best careers as a judoka that I have seen. (note: I said one of the best not the only). I won't go into too much detail with her bio as you can find it here http://rondarousey.net/about/

Check out one of her Olympic bouts from 2008.

You really got to respect the girls prowess.

With that being said she also has a little bit of an improved stand up game although we rarely are able to see it due to the ability to get her opponent to the ground. We have seen a pinch of that during the Alexis Davis fight. I would love to see more of the stand-up game from the champ as well as the ground game.

Of course the internet is swirling with the Women's boxing Champ Laila Ali comments about being able to beat the champ. I feel as though a boxing bout then yes Rhonda you have no chance at beating Laila (even at the state of her being retired). However if this is a MMA all around, Rhonda takes it. I would love to entertain the idea of Laila winning a MMA bout just off of the strength of her dominate skill. Since this is not happening, we take it for what it is.

Just to point out the fact that this was a hypothetical and Laila answered as honestly as possible on this I have to agree with her. Rhonda is the best at what she does and her records proves it for me anyways.

Rhonda has a fight coming up against Bethe Correia who's record respectively is 9-0. I am a little deterred from watching it because of a few reasons.

One, I believe that this fight will not go the distance and Rhonda will win first Rhonda. Two, UFC fights are not what they were before. They seem to wane on the action a bit. This one might be caught at a bar…

So with my little insight as of right now. I still favor the champ and her powerhouse work effort and her skill is superior to most of the women in the UFC that we have seen her go against thus far.

Any takers for the Champ?
