I am still a super fan of the comics by far but lets face it Carol is a bad ass. Melissa McBride plays this role so well. She is absolutely phenomenal. In Season 6 Episode 2 'JSS' She took on The Wolves. Some people died in the community of Alexandria but lets face it! Casualties of War. When first reading the comics, Carols' character is weak and quite frankly died early on as we expected, however the evolution of Carol within the show has shown perseverance, loyalty, growth and strength.
We didn't expect The Walking Dead to take this character in this direction. Hell, we didn't even think she made it out of the tombs in the prison. But like all fans, we stick to our beloved characters. We knew Carol was legit when she had to kill. She killed Karen & David in hopes of saving everyone from the infection at the prison, saved everyone from the cannibals at Terminus, killed Lizzie, and just very recently dressed as a 'Wolf' to kill the invading 'Wolves' in Alexandria.
Carol is still human though. She cried when having to kill a suffering Alexandrian. Despite all this, and Contrary to Morgans' philosophy, Carol has been able to asset situations as they are and deal with killing as apart of this new world.
When you think about it we could have been stuck with Andrea's character! And not the one from the comics either!
Here's to Carol! May your zombie and threat killings continue!
